    Thank you GameStop employees for telling me the code was on the receipt and not on the card. I’m kidding. You guys didn’t, and threw away the receipt but sure were fast enough to get me to join and spend money on your damn membership. You ruined someone’s Christmas present. No wonder i don’t shop at GameStop no more.

    Purched a video game with my debit card on 12/21. The employess were very friendly and awesome! The employee made an honest mistake and charged me twice for the game. I pulled up my bank account on the phone to show them proof, they said their system doens't show a double charge. The proper solution here is to refund what's showing on my account, not theirs. The employee told me to check my statement the day after and if it still showed up, to drive back and they'll refund it at that time. They couldn't refund me because their policy allows them to refund credit cards and not debit cards immediately. The double charge is still on my account and at this point it's easier to file a claim with my bank that to retun. Their policy should've been overwritten with common sense. Emplyee attitude was 10/10, policy was 1/10. Update as of 2/13/18: The claim with my bank was denied because they contacted GAMESTOP and they said that the double purchase was legitimate and not done in error. So in essence, I walked out with a double charge for 1 video game. I'll be stopping in to GAMESTOP in person to resolve this on the weekend. If management is reading this, please contact me before it gets out of hand. It is beyond frustrating that I should have to waste so much time to clear a transactional error on your end.
